Swansea's Ross Stewart Out with Quad Injury

Swansea City’s wait to properly unleash Ross Stewart will go on, with the Scotland striker expected to miss the club’s next four matches because of a quad injury.

The 30-year-old, signed last month on a three-year deal, has managed just one outing so far – a substitute appearance in the goalless draw with Sheffield United 11 days ago – before a soft tissue problem stalled his start in south Wales.

He sat out the Championship win at Derby County last weekend and was again absent for Tuesday night’s victory over Watford. Now Swansea head coach Vitor Matos has confirmed the forward is unlikely to feature before the international break.
