Jamal Musiala's Return to Bayern: Cautious Optimism
Jamal Musiala is edging back towards competitive action, but Bayern are refusing to take any chances.
According to Bild, the 23-year-old’s medication dosage was recently increased after he suffered two collapses in friendly matches, linked to brief neurological disturbances and short losses of consciousness. The episodes forced him out of action and triggered a cautious medical response.
The coaching staff are in no mood to gamble. Internally, the message is clear: Musiala’s return will not be rushed.
There is, though, a clear upswing. Musiala completed the full team session on Monday afternoon, throwing himself into challenges and looking sharp. Reporters on site described a Germany international who appeared in strong physical condition and very much on the right track.
Training was split between a pitch fitted with a protective screen and an adjacent open pitch, and Musiala stayed involved throughout. No holding back, no reduced workload.
For Vincent Kompany, the picture has brightened quickly. With Musiala back in full training alongside Serge Gnabry, Bild reports that the coach finally has his entire squad available. No one is listed as injured, no one is working individually.
After a summer of medical bulletins and careful updates, Bayern’s new era under Kompany can, at last, start with a full deck.
