Defensive Headache Opens Door for Tomori and Camarda

The injury list is beginning to bite, and the coach is bracing for a demanding run.

“We’ve had a problem with Gabbia, and we don’t know how long he’ll be out,” he admitted, underlining the uncertainty at the back. “It’s a bit like the situation we had in the summer with Gila. Camarda Set for His Chance

Up front, the coach is ready to shuffle the deck and lean on youth.

“I think we need to give Camarda a chance. We can also play with three rotating forwards. Sometimes changing the characteristics of our attackers can help us.”

The idea is simple: variety in attack, constant movement, and different profiles to unsettle opponents.

“There isn't a single team in the world that has all the right characteristics for every position throughout the season. We will use Camarda. Of course, it will depend on the matches.”

No guarantees, but a clear intention. Camarda will be part of the plan, not just a name on the team sheet.

Rabiot and Moreira in the Frame

In midfield and out wide, the options are multiplying.

“Moreira has had two weeks of training. He’s better prepared than last week. He’s an option, as is Rabiot, in two positions. So, we’ll see what our starting XI will be.”

The coach has a specific vision for the versatile Moreira.

“I see Moreira as a fifth midfielder/winger, but there will be matches where he can play further forward or alongside Chukwueze. We have many players to rotate.”

Four games in ten days will test that depth. The real question now is how boldly he leans into those rotations when the pressure of results starts to rise.
