No mention of contracts. No mention of Arsenal. The silence around the key issue was deafening.

Contract ticking down, Arsenal lurking

Behind the scenes, the situation is far less straightforward. With just a year left on his current deal, Madrid have not yet tied Vinícius down, and sources have indicated the club are open to a sale this summer if no new agreement is reached.
