While the player leans towards staying, Real Madrid’s boardroom calculations are more ruthless. According to TEAMtalk, the Spanish giants are unwilling to let the 24-year-old drift into the final phase of his contract without clarity.

Their stance is stark: if no breakthrough is reached on an extension, they would prefer to sanction a sale this summer rather than risk losing one of their most valuable assets for nothing in 2027.
