Main Event Preview: Natalia Silva vs. Wang Cong
The vacant UFC women’s flyweight title is at stake with the top-ranked Natalia Silva facing No. 6 Wang Cong. This matchup is notable since it’s the first flyweight title fight without Valentina Shevchenko involved since the division began in 2017. Shevchenko vacated the belt due to shoulder and back ligament injuries that will keep her out for about a year. The winner of this bout will claim the championship and likely face Shevchenko upon her return.
Silva brings quickness, excellent movement, and a Taekwondo background, making her one of the most exciting contenders in the division. Wang Cong carries serious knockout power and momentum, having previously defeated Shevchenko in kickboxing.
This fight will showcase Silva’s elusive, high-volume striking versus Wang’s pressure and power. A finish could define who becomes the new face of the division.
Co-Main Event: Deiveson Figueiredo vs. Payton Talbott
The bantamweight co-main event features former flyweight champ Deiveson Figueiredo against rising star Payton Talbott. Figueiredo has struggled recently with losses to Umar Nurmagomedov and Song Yadong, making this an important fight at age 38. Talbott is one of the sport’s brightest prospects, with wins over former champion Henry Cejudo.
Figueiredo relies on counter-striking and grappling, while Talbott presses forward with sharp striking and relentless pace. A win for Talbott could propel him toward title contention; a victory for Figueiredo would show he remains a force at bantamweight.
