Natalia Silva comes in as the top-ranked women’s flyweight contender, boasting a 14-fight winning streak. The 29-year-old Brazilian has been unbeaten in the UFC since 2022, going 8-0 inside the promotion. Her latest wins include victories over former champions Jessica Andrade, Alexa Grasso, and Rose Namajunas.
On the other side, Wang Cong holds a 10-1 professional MMA record and is ranked among the top 10 contenders. Wang has won four straight bouts after her only loss in 2024 to Gabriella Fernandes. She also has a notable past win against former UFC flyweight champ Valentina Shevchenko in a 2015 kickboxing match.
The title was vacated by Shevchenko due to injury, creating this opportunity for Silva and Wang to battle for the belt.
