Tottenham Targets Cody Gakpo as Transfer Window Heats Up

Tottenham’s new era under Roberto De Zerbi is starting to take shape, and it’s clear where he wants the next blow of the transfer hammer to land: out wide.

According to Sky Sports, Spurs have set their sights on Cody Gakpo, with the Liverpool forward sitting prominently on their list of attacking targets this summer. Only if Liverpool land a replacement of that calibre, or close to it, does a serious conversation about Gakpo’s future really begin.

Tottenham, for their part, are not limiting themselves to one target. Spurs are also keen on Manchester City winger Savinho, another indication that De Zerbi wants pace and directness added to his forward line, and quickly.

While Spurs and Liverpool weigh up their next moves, Arsenal are pushing hard on a marquee deal of their own.
