Tottenham Close to Signing Savinho After Agreeing Personal Terms

Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of securing another major signing this summer, agreeing personal terms with Savinho, a winger compared to Lamine Yamal for his style of play.

The north London club has already made waves this transfer window, breaking their club record twice by signing Mateus Fernandes and Sandro Tonali. These additions have reshaped their midfield, while the defense has also been bolstered with players like Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi, Jan Paul van Hecke, and Martin Dubravka.

Attack Reinforcements on the Horizon

Now Tottenham is focusing on improving their attack. The priority targets include a new left-winger and a centre-forward, especially with uncertainty around Richarlison's future at the club.

Initially, Spurs had their sights on Morgan Rogers, but his move to Arsenal seemed likely until Chelsea surprised everyone by swooping in with a £117m offer to sign him from Aston Villa.

Why Savinho?

After losing out on Rogers, Tottenham shifted their attention to Savinho from Manchester City. Reports suggest Spurs and City have reached a verbal agreement on a £65m deal, and the player himself is eager to join, having already settled personal terms.

This isn't Tottenham's first attempt to sign the 22-year-old; they pursued him a year ago when Thomas Frank was managing the team. His talent has caught the eye of many, including Pep Guardiola who has praised him, and Sky Sports pundit Paul Merson compared his playing style to Lamine Yamal.

Competition for Junior Kroupi

Even if Tottenham completes the Savinho deal, they intend to pursue Eli Junior Kroupi from AFC Bournemouth. The 20-year-old forward had a breakout season, netting 13 Premier League goals and helping Bournemouth qualify for Europe for the first time ever.

Arsenal is also interested in Kroupi after missing out on Morgan Rogers. However, Bournemouth is reluctant to sell and demands a high price, so it remains unclear whether either club will meet their valuation.
