Real Madrid Prioritize Yan Diomande, Postpone Rodri Hernandez Signing

Real Madrid has decided to delay finalizing the deal for Rodri Hernandez, the midfielder from Manchester City and the Spain national team. The club now prioritizes completing the transfer of Yan Diomande, the Ivorian forward, whose signing is close to completion.

Earlier this week, Real Madrid's president, Florentino Perez, approved starting negotiations for Rodri after some uncertainty. However, with multiple squad changes ongoing, the club’s attention shifted to other pressing matters. Diomande's deal, in particular, is in its final stages, with only a few documents left to finalize.

The agreement for Diomande includes a contract lasting five seasons. Club officials are working to reassure the player, aiming for him to begin training under coach Jose Mourinho before the end of the week.

Though the club hoped to wrap up the Diomande signing early this week, complications over a contract clause between the clubs caused unexpected delays, pushing back his arrival alongside teammates.

Rodri's Transfer Process on Hold

The planned initial talks with Manchester City about Rodri, scheduled for Thursday, have been postponed. While interest in the midfielder remains strong, other transfer matters have taken precedence.

Internal discussions intensified following Rodri’s impressive performances at the World Cup, particularly during the semi-final and final matches. What once seemed uncertain has turned into a priority as his technical skills and physical form dispelled doubts. His track record supports a potential transfer fee nearing 100 million euros.
