Former Liverpool and Rangers midfielder Ovie Ejaria has taken an unusual approach to finding a new team by using the professional networking site LinkedIn. The 28-year-old, now a free agent after parting ways with Real Oviedo, openly called out for clubs interested in his services.

Ejaria, who appeared just eight times in La Liga last season as Oviedo faced relegation from Spain's top division, is actively looking for a fresh opportunity. His LinkedIn post highlights his experience at clubs like Liverpool, Sunderland, Rangers, and Reading, aiming to catch the eye of potential suitors.

Versatility Across Midfield and Attack

The midfielder emphasized his ability to play multiple roles. He can operate centrally or on the left wing, offering tactical flexibility. On LinkedIn, he wrote: "I'm currently a free agent and looking for the right opportunity. If there's a club needing a midfielder - (6, 8 & 10) or a left winger, please feel free to DM me."

Ejaria's loan spell at Rangers during the 2018-19 season under manager Steven Gerrard showed promise but ended abruptly when Ejaria chose to return to Liverpool early. Gerrard expressed his disappointment at the time, telling the Glasgow Times, "Am I disappointed he's gone? Yes. Do I think it's the right decision? No, because I think he had an incredible opportunity here."

Gerrard also praised Ejaria’s standout performance in a Europa League play-off against FC Ufa in August 2018. After a narrow first-leg win at Ibrox, Ejaria scored early in Russia during the second leg, helping secure a 1-1 draw that qualified Rangers for the group stage. Gerrard told Rangers TV, "I thought he was magnificent and I think that is his strongest 90 minutes that he has given us so far."

He added, "We've seen flashes and some good performances before, but that was his first really excellent display against a good team. I thought he was excellent from start to finish."
