Morgan Gibbs-White to Replace Cole Palmer in England Squad

Morgan Gibbs-White is poised for a return to the England squad after Cole Palmer pulled out due to a minor injury. Palmer’s withdrawal opens the door for Gibbs-White, who was initially left out of the Nations League roster.

The Nottingham Forest midfielder had been close to selection, according to England manager Thomas Tuchel, who confirmed Gibbs-White would replace the Chelsea forward.

Palmer’s Injury and Recent Form

Palmer, 24, had just been recalled by Tuchel after missing the World Cup squad, with the coach stressing that Palmer needed to prove himself to maintain his place. Unfortunately, Palmer will now miss the extended international break where England face Spain, the Czech Republic twice, and Croatia.
