Matty Cash is determined for Aston Villa to build on last season’s achievements by overcoming Paris Saint-Germain and claiming the UEFA Super Cup. The defender called PSG the best team globally but stressed that Unai Emery's squad is focused on adding another trophy at the Red Bull Arena in Leipzig.

European Champions Meet for Prestigious Trophy

This Wednesday, Aston Villa will make their second UEFA Super Cup appearance against the Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain. The Villans earned their place by securing the Europa League with a 3-0 win over Freiburg, marking their first European title in 44 years. Meanwhile, PSG retained both their domestic league crown and the Champions League after beating Arsenal on penalties in May.

Cash sees the Super Cup as the perfect occasion to cap off the team's hard work from last season. Talking to the club’s official site, the Poland international praised PSG’s strength ahead of the match: "It's massive. The manager mentioned that even though the season is over, the Super Cup is a chance to finish what we started last season."
