Liverpool Pursues PSG’s Bradley Barcola as Mohamed Salah Successor

Liverpool are preparing their first formal offer to Paris Saint-Germain for Bradley Barcola, with the French winger emerging as the club’s leading target to fill the void left by Mohamed Salah.

According to reports in The Athletic, Barcola is viewed inside Anfield as the priority signing of this window. At 23, with pace, end product and Champions League pedigree, he fits the profile Liverpool want as they reshape their attack after Salah’s departure at the end of last season.

PSG, though, are in no mood to be pushed around.

The French champions are said to value Barcola at close to €170m, a figure Liverpool have no intention of entertaining. That gap sets the stage for a long, tense negotiation between two clubs used to operating at the very top of the market.

Liverpool believe there is a deal to be done well below PSG’s opening stance. A package in the region of €120m is understood to be the level that would satisfy the Premier League side, who are looking to exploit a crucial piece of leverage: Barcola’s contract situation and his own ambition.

Barcola is tied to PSG until 2028, but he is reportedly reluctant to extend those terms. That hesitation has alerted Liverpool, who sense an opportunity to move now before the winger’s price climbs even higher or rival giants join the race.

His numbers last season underline why the interest is so intense. Barcola made 49 appearances for Les Rouge et Bleu in the 2025-26 campaign, scoring 13 goals and providing seven assists.
