Liverpool Advised to Compete with Man Utd and Chelsea for Arsenal’s Myles Lewis-Skelly

Why has he not been offered to Liverpool? Someone asked, ‘What’s he worth?’ I said, ‘Anywhere from £40-60 million for a player of that age who’s English.’

Kerkez is expected to be Liverpool’s first-choice left-back this season, ahead of Kostas Tsimikas, who remains eager to fight for his spot. Still, MacAnthony thinks Lewis-Skelly’s arrival would strengthen the squad.

When asked if he would welcome Lewis-Skelly at Anfield, MacAnthony replied: All day long. We need competition for our left-back. No disrespect to Tsimikas, but not for me. Plus, he can play in midfield; we’ve seen him perform well there.

On whether Lewis-Skelly’s best position is midfield, he added: Correct. Liverpool are crying out for that type of player who has defensive skills but also the technical ability to attack.
