Liverpool’s pursuit of Bradley Barcola has hit a wall, and Arsenal are watching every crack in the negotiation with interest.

The Premier League side have identified the France winger as a priority option to help fill the void left by Mohamed Salah, who departed for Trabzonspor on a free transfer last week. The sense from Liverpool is clear: they are prepared to walk away. The Gunners remain in the market for a marquee attacking addition after failing to land Vinicius Junior, who opted to sign a new long-term contract with Real Madrid instead of entertaining a move to north London. Barcola, with his direct running and upside, fits the profile of the kind of statement signing the club have been chasing.

Arsenal have already strengthened the left flank with Christos Tzolis, yet the interest in Barcola has not disappeared.
