Lamine Yamal Targeted in Break-In Attempt After World Cup Success

The night that should have been all about celebration for Lamine Yamal took a dark turn in the early hours of the morning.

Just hours after helping the National Team reach the World Cup final, the Barça prodigy became the target of an attempted break-in at his home in Esplugues de Llobregat. The incident unfolded at around four in the morning, when two intruders tried to access the property.

According to security sources, private guards monitoring the house spotted two figures on camera, both wearing balaclavas, climbing the perimeter wall. The image was clear enough: this was no mistake, no lost passer-by. They were coming for the house.

The reaction was immediate. As soon as the would-be thieves realised they had been detected, they abandoned the attempt, bolting from the scene and disappearing into the night before they could get inside.

The player’s security team then alerted the Mossos d'Esquadra. The Criminal Investigation Division (DIC) has taken charge of the case, which is currently being treated as an attempted burglary with force.
