Bradley Barcola has swiftly made his mark at Liverpool following his move from Paris Saint-Germain. The French forward adapted rapidly to training sessions at the AXA Training Centre as the Reds get ready for their Premier League match against Ipswich Town.

After two draws to start the season against Newcastle United and Nottingham Forest, Liverpool are eager to claim their first league win. Barcola’s arrival has energized the squad, adding a fresh attacking option ahead of their visit to Portman Road.

Kerkez Praises Barcola's Speed and Skill

Left-back Milos Kerkez has spoken highly of Barcola’s early performances in training, focusing on his pace, dribbling skills, and room for growth. Kerkez said,

"He’s a great player. Everyone knows him obviously. After just two or three sessions, you can already see his quality and potential to improve a lot. He can be a really good player."

"Really fast, good dribbler, so I think he’s going to help us a lot," he added.

Defensive Focus Alongside Offensive Boost

Although Barcola adds firepower up front, Kerkez explained the team has been working hard on defensive transitions after conceding four goals in their opening two games. The defenders reviewed video footage to correct errors that forced Liverpool to come from behind twice.

"For us, especially as defenders, we want clean sheets and the target is you don’t want them to score," Kerkez said. "We worked on fixing those issues this week, so I think it should get better."

"We had meetings, video analysis for the defenders. Obviously, we don’t want to come back from behind – we want to start winning from the beginning," he continued.

Preparing for Ipswich Test

As Liverpool prepare for their Friday night game against newly promoted Ipswich Town, who have one win and one loss under coach Gary O’Neil, Kerkez confirmed the coaching staff has studied every player and tactical detail carefully.

"I think obviously we’re analysing everything, so we will know what to expect from every player, from the tactics," Kerkez said. "Every game we do, we come really prepared."

With Barcola pushing to make his debut and defensive improvements underway, Liverpool hope to claim three points and keep a clean sheet in this match.
