Kalvin Phillips Set for Sheffield United Loan; PSG Close to Signing Maghnes Akliouche

Manchester City midfielder Kalvin Phillips appears ready to return to Sheffield United on loan, marking his second spell with the Championship club. Since joining City from Leeds United in summer 2022, the 30-year-old has struggled for game time, managing only 32 appearances.

Phillips has featured just once for the Citizens following the end of the 2023-24 season and spent periods on loan at West Ham United, Ipswich Town, and Sheffield United. His previous stint at Sheffield was cut short by a knee injury after only three matches during the latter half of last season.

Reports from the Manchester Evening News suggest an agreement is close, with Phillips excluded from Man City's pre-season tour squad as he prepares for the move. Although two years remain on his contract with City, this loan is expected to be confirmed soon.

Paris Saint-Germain Poised to Sign Monaco Attacker Maghnes Akliouche

Transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano reports that Paris Saint-Germain is on the verge of securing a deal for Monaco forward Maghnes Akliouche. Despite interest from Liverpool, PSG have made progress in negotiations, bringing the 24-year-old closer to a switch to Paris.

Akliouche boasts 23 goals and 28 assists in 139 appearances for Monaco, including seven goals and 11 assists in 43 games last season. He is also a ten-time France international, with Champions League experience highlighted by three goals and five assists across 20 matches.

The versatile attacker mostly plays on the right wing but can operate in multiple attacking roles.

Middlesbrough Initiate Talks to Bring Back Everton Goalkeeper Mark Travers

Middlesbrough have opened discussions with Everton about a potential loan deal for goalkeeper Mark Travers for the upcoming 2026-27 season. Travers, who is from the Republic of Ireland, spent part of the 2024-25 campaign on loan at Boro, playing 17 times.

Since moving to Everton from Bournemouth last summer, Travers has made only two appearances, with Jordan Pickford firmly established as the first choice keeper. Reports from Football Insider indicate that Travers is eager to find regular playing time, making a loan back to Middlesbrough appealing.

Wrexham has also shown interest in the goalkeeper, who made 82 appearances for Bournemouth before joining Everton.
