Juventus Eye Kolo Muani as Attack Overhaul Intensifies

Juventus are tearing up their forward line and starting again. In the middle of that rebuild, one name keeps coming back: Randal Kolo Muani.

The Frenchman, who impressed in a short spell in Turin last season, is open to a return in the summer, and Juventus are pushing to make it happen. Talks with Paris Saint-Germain are ongoing, even as the Bianconeri move in parallel for Alexander Sorloth.

Vlahovic gone, patience gone

The need is obvious. Dusan Vlahovic is walking away on a free when his contract expires on June 30, stripping Juventus of their supposed reference point in attack. The club’s bets on Lois Openda and Jonathan David have not paid off either. Both underwhelmed in their first campaign in Turin, enough for the Old Lady to put them firmly in the “listening to offers” category ahead of the summer window.

Juventus are not tinkering; they are ripping up the blueprint. The plan is to build a new front line around two proven, ready-made forwards.

Sorloth deal set, Kolo Muani the next piece

On one front, negotiations are advanced. Juventus have already struck an agreement with Alexander Sorloth and are in talks with Atletico Madrid to close a deal for the Norway international. That move would give them a powerful, penalty-box focal point.

But the club want more variety, more movement, more goals from different angles. That is where Kolo Muani comes back into focus.

According to Romeo Agresti of Sky Sport and Tuttosport, Juventus remain in direct contact with PSG over the 25-year-old. The French club’s asking price stands at around €35 million. Juventus, wary of overcommitting on a player they know is not central to PSG’s future plans, do not want to go beyond €30 million.

The gap is clear. So is the room for manoeuvre.

Loan formula on the table

With Kolo Muani under contract in Paris until June 2028, PSG have leverage on paper, but not in sporting terms. He is not part of Luis Enrique’s plans and the Ligue 1 champions are not preparing a new deal. That reality drags the price down and opens the door to creative solutions.

One option being discussed is a loan with an obligation to buy, triggered by conditions that are almost certain to be met. It is the kind of structure Juventus know well: control the immediate outlay, push the bulk of the cost into future balance sheets, and secure a player they already trust.

And they do trust him. Kolo Muani scored 10 goals in 22 appearances for Juventus in the second half of the 2024-25 season, adapting quickly to Serie A and to the demands of playing at the Allianz Stadium. He offered depth of movement, pace in transition and, crucially, end product for a side that has struggled badly for goals in recent years.

Player wants Turin, not the Champions League lights

There is another card in Juventus’ hand: the player’s will. Kolo Muani is described as eager to return to Turin, even without the lure of Champions League football in 2026-27. That stance matters. It weakens PSG’s position and strengthens Juventus’ belief that a deal can be driven through on their terms.

For PSG, he is a surplus asset. For Juventus, he is a proven fit, a forward who has already shown he can carry part of the scoring burden in a demanding environment.

The Bianconeri’s summer is shaping up as a complete reimagining of their attack. Sorloth to lead the line, Kolo Muani to dart around him and attack space, with Openda and David potentially sacrificed to fund the reset.

If Juventus can bend PSG down from €35m to something closer to their €30m ceiling, and lock in that loan-with-obligation structure, the Allianz Stadium could soon be welcoming back a forward who has already shown he knows exactly where the net is.
