Ivan Toney Charged with Assault After Nightclub Incident

England striker Ivan Toney has been charged with assault causing actual bodily harm following an incident at a London nightclub in Soho.

The charge, confirmed on July 31, relates to an alleged incident on Dec. 6, 2025. Toney is due to appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on Sept. 24.

A spokesperson for the forward said: "Ivan acknowledges the charge and although he is naturally shocked, he looks forward to being given the opportunity to clear his name in court."

The development arrives at a pivotal stage in Toney’s career. Now with Al Ahli in the Saudi Pro League, the 28-year-old forced his way into England’s World Cup squad earlier this summer, capping a rapid rise back into the international picture.

He featured as a late substitute in the 2-1 semifinal defeat to Argentina, thrown on as England chased a dramatic equaliser.
