Galatasaray Set to Match Osimhen Wages for Bruno Fernandes
Galatasaray have put down a marker in the transfer market: if Bruno Fernandes becomes available, they are prepared to pay him like a superstar.
Turkish journalist Emre Kaplan has revealed that the Super Lig champions are willing to hand the Manchester United captain a salary on par with Victor Osimhen, currently the club’s top earner. For Galatasaray, that is the ceiling. And they are ready to hit it.
Fernandes has yet to agree fresh terms with United, a delay that has alerted several clubs across Europe. Galatasaray have moved quickly, identifying the Portugal international as a priority target and signalling they are ready to back that ambition with serious money.
Osimhen’s contract stands as the financial benchmark in the dressing room, and, according to Kaplan, it is exactly that level Galatasaray are prepared to reach for Fernandes.
“Galatasaray are prepared to offer Bruno Fernandes the same salary as Osimhen, who is presently the top earner in the squad,” Kaplan said, as reported by Habersarikirmizi. “They will also present whatever amount is necessary for the transfer fee. However, I believe that the reports circulating in the English media are being utilised in negotiations with United.”
The message is clear: if Manchester United open the door, Galatasaray will not be outbid on wages and are ready to meet United’s demands on the fee as well.
This aggressive stance fits the club’s broader strategy. Fresh from domestic success, Galatasaray are pushing to upgrade again, looking for a marquee figure to drive them deeper into European competition. Fernandes, with his creativity, work rate and leadership, fits that profile perfectly.
For now, he remains under contract at Old Trafford and without a new agreement in place. Galatasaray are watching that gap closely, waiting to see whether it becomes an opportunity big enough to walk through.
