Ferran Torres is moving closer to the Camp Nou exit, and this time the road appears to run straight to Paris.

According to Florian Plettenberg of Sky Deutschland, the 26-year-old has reached a personal agreement with Paris Saint-Germain over a transfer. The plan has been in place for several days, and now the key step has arrived: PSG and Barcelona have opened formal talks.

For a player who only recently delivered on the biggest stage, the timing is striking. Torres’ extra-time winner against Argentina sealed Spain’s world title in a 1-0 final, a goal that instantly changed his market status. Barcelona know it. PSG know it. The negotiations are being framed around it.

Barcelona soften their stance

This is not a saga built on resistance from Catalonia. Far from it.

Reports last week from Matteo Moretto indicated that Torres is open to the move to Paris. Inside Barcelona, there is no sense of a club digging in to keep him at all costs. That softening of the stance is making the operation smoother, even with a contract that currently runs until mid-2027.
