Fabregas was straightforward about the squad’s limitations: "Obviously, I’m expecting a striker. Douvikas can’t play in Serie A, the Coppa Italia, and the Champions League all by himself. We can’t handle three competitions with just one forward." He reflected on last season’s struggles when Alvaro Morata’s injury forced them into awkward tactical setups, often deploying a false nine, which is tough over a packed schedule.

Highlighting Luis Milla’s Impact

While transfer talks dominate, Fabregas made sure to praise 31-year-old midfielder Luis Milla, who joined Como this summer. Milla has become a crucial part of the midfield, starting back-to-back games including the triumph over Napoli. "Milla is very underrated in Spain, but that’s normal. There are so many great players that sometimes we forget those who aren’t Pedri or Rodri," said Fabregas. "I’ve followed him for years. His career has steadily grown, and now he’s ready for the Champions League stage. We want to bring young players here, but I’m happy for him and others."

"We have an important game left against Genoa. Often, opponents will be stronger — they might have an 80% chance to win, we only 20%. That has to be accepted," Fabregas warned.
