Carlos Baleba Bids Emotional Farewell to Brighton After Joining Manchester United

Carlos Baleba, the 22-year-old midfielder, has shared a heartfelt goodbye message with Brighton & Hove Albion fans after finalizing his transfer to Manchester United on Tuesday. The young player expressed his gratitude to the club and its supporters as he prepares for a new stage at Old Trafford.

Transfer Completion and Reflection

Baleba completed his move to Manchester United in the afternoon, marking a significant step in his career. Soon after the announcement, he took to social media to reflect on his time at Brighton. Sharing a highlights video alongside his message, he thanked the club for the opportunities and memories during his stay on the south coast.

A Message of Thanks to Brighton

In an Instagram post, Baleba opened up about his initial arrival in England and the support he received.

"I came here at 19 with little English and no idea what this club would become to me," he wrote. "Brighton only asked me to be myself. The staff who make the club run so well. The teammates who took the time to understand me, on the pitch and off it. The nights at the Amex when I heard my name from that stand always made me feel at home."

Keeping Brighton Close to Heart

The midfielder emphasized how much Brighton shaped his career and promised to carry the club’s spirit with him wherever he goes.

"To all of the fans, staff and my teammates. You looked after me and for that I will hold you all close to my heart," Baleba stated. "Wherever I play, this club is in how I play. Good luck Seagulls."

Next Steps at Manchester United

Baleba will now start adjusting to life at Manchester United as the team prepares for upcoming matches. Fans may have to wait a bit longer before seeing him on the pitch; his debut against Ipswich Town this weekend remains uncertain depending on his fitness.
