AFC Ajax are positioning themselves for a late-window move for FC Barcelona winger Roony Bardghji – but only if they cash in on Mika Godts to Paris Saint-Germain, according to SPORT.

The Dutch club are braced for a hectic finish to the market and are ready to reopen a transfer channel with Barcelona that has already seen Marc-Andre ter Stegen arrive in Amsterdam on loan. This time, though, the focus is on the wings.

Godts sale could unlock Bardghji move

Ajax’s immediate priority is clear: resolve the future of Mika Godts. PSG have already seen a €50 million offer turned down, with the Eredivisie side holding out for more. The Belgian has agreed personal terms with the French champions, so the battle is now between the clubs, not the player.

If that fee lands, Ajax intend to push it straight back into the squad. Noa Lang, currently at Napoli, remains their preferred signing for the wide areas. But the financial muscle from a Godts sale would also drag Bardghji firmly into play.
