• Start Date: August 9, 2026 — starting earlier than previous seasons
• End Date: May 22, 2027 — finishing a week later than usual

International Breaks During 2026-27

This season, international breaks adjust slightly. Instead of three separate one-week pauses in autumn, there will be one two-week break and one one-week break. No league matches will happen on the weekends of September 26, October 3, and November 14. Another break will take place the weekend of March 27.

German Teams in European Competitions

• Seven German clubs will participate across UEFA tournaments.
• Four teams will compete in the Champions League.
• Two teams will play in the Europa League.
• One team will enter the Conference League.
