Teen American Star Zavier Gozo Joins Crystal Palace in Premier League Move

Another promising American talent is headed to England. Crystal Palace confirmed the acquisition of 19-year-old winger Zavier Gozo from MLS side Real Salt Lake on a five-year contract reportedly worth over $15 million.

Gozo expressed his excitement about joining the Premier League club, calling it the dream of any footballer. He praised the team’s vision and success, which attracted him to the Eagles.

Rapid Rise From Utah To The Premier League

Born in West Valley City, Utah, Gozo’s career has progressed quickly. After spending six years in Real Salt Lake’s youth academy, he debuted in MLS at just 16 during the 2023 season. This spring, his performances caught attention by scoring six goals and assisting five times in 16 starts. His form earned him an MLS All-Star selection for the first time.

“Life moves so fast. You play well for a couple of games, and you’re an All-Star. It came faster than I thought and faster than a lot of people thought. It’s been a great journey,” Gozo told Sports Illustrated.

Joining Forces With Fellow USMNT Star Chris Richards

Gozo will join Chris Richards, another American standout, already at Crystal Palace. Richards, a key defender for the U.S. men’s national team, played an important role during the 2026 World Cup. Being seven years younger, Gozo hopes to follow Richards’ path and earn his senior national team debut possibly this fall.
