RB Leipzig's Antonio Nusa Draws New Interest from Roma and Other Clubs

Antonio Nusa, the 21-year-old Norwegian attacker, has caught the attention of Roma. According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian club is seriously considering a transfer for the RB Leipzig winger. This interest comes after Roma saw Mason Greenwood leave for Fenerbahce and Crysencio Summerville move to Al-Hilal, creating openings in their squad.

Roma have already approached RB Leipzig's top management about a potential deal. Yet, Leipzig is holding firm on their valuation, reportedly seeking between €50 million and €60 million for Nusa, whose contract extends until 2029.

Alternatives on Roma's Radar

With Leipzig's asking price steep, Roma is also exploring other options. Their list includes Benfica's Andreas Schjelderup and 1. FC Cologne's 19-year-old Said El Mala, who is simultaneously attracting strong interest from Borussia Dortmund.

Broader Interest Surrounding Nusa

Nusa's talent has not gone unnoticed beyond Italy. Earlier reports indicated that English clubs like Newcastle United and Arsenal are monitoring him closely. The Newcastle Chronicle suggests his admirers also include Juventus, Tottenham Hotspur, and Crystal Palace.

Bayern Munich has been mentioned among interested parties, but a move there seems unlikely. Although Bayern sought reinforcements on the left wing, they recently secured Ismael Saibari from PSV Eindhoven, which diminishes the chances of signing Nusa.

Quick Rise at RB Leipzig

Nusa joined RB Leipzig in summer 2024, moving from Club Brugge for €21 million. He adapted quickly, becoming a regular starter for the Saxony-based club. Last season, he appeared in 35 matches, scoring five goals and assisting four times, showcasing his versatility on both flanks.
