Lamine Yamal Shares What Barcelona Must Do to Triumph in the Champions League

Lamine Yamal has expressed that Barcelona are aiming for more than just a solid start this season. The team has set its sights on bigger achievements, especially in Europe. The Blaugrana have emerged as serious contenders this campaign, and Yamal believes their squad's talent and unity can challenge for top honors.

Champions League Hopes Hinged on Luck and Experience

Yamal acknowledges that winning the Champions League remains a tough task, where a single slip can end hopes abruptly. He emphasized how luck and experience are crucial factors in such a tight contest.

"It all comes down to fate. The Champions League isn’t decided in a single match; you can play badly and lose the title. So you need luck, along with experience, and these things build up year after year," Yamal said.

While Barcelona can control their effort and quality, knockout rounds often turn on tiny moments, injuries, finishing, and pressure management. This reality hasn’t dampened Yamal’s desire.

"I hope luck is on our side this year. We’re playing to win the title; we’re not here just for a stroll. We want to win and bring the trophy back to Barcelona, and God willing, we’ll achieve victory this year."

Raphinha and Lewandowski Bring Different Strengths

When asked to compare Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha, Yamal avoided picking one over the other. Instead, he explained how their unique skills complement the team.

"I don’t think it’s about who’s better or worse. The team adapts to different players, and each player has different strengths. Robert stands out for his ability to finish attacking moves, while Raphinha is a great passer. Each has their own qualities, and every player shines in what they do."

Strong Team Spirit Fuels Barcelona’s Good Form

Yamal also praised the harmony within the squad this season. New signings have blended quickly with long-standing players, boosting performance levels. This combination has contributed to an exciting and effective style of play.

"We’re in great form at the moment and eager to keep playing entertaining football. There’s been a rise in quality and performance, thanks to both new players settling well and the growing chemistry among established teammates."

The forward wrapped up by underlining the shared mindset driving the team forward.

"We all play with the same mindset—a winning mindset—and always do what’s best for the team. We’re one big family, and our goal is always to win."
