Yves Bissouma Set for Ajax Move
Yves Bissouma is closing in on a move to Ajax, with the former Tottenham midfielder set to sign an initial deal running until the end of the season.
The 30-year-old, a free agent since leaving Spurs in June, is in Amsterdam to finalise the switch and complete a return to top-flight football in the Netherlands. The agreement is expected to include an option to extend his stay by a further 12 months.
Ajax are moving for a player who arrives with heavy Premier League mileage. Bissouma joined Tottenham in 2022 after a standout spell at Brighton and went on to make 111 appearances for the north London club.
His time at Spurs, though, ended on a flat note. In August 2025, then-manager Thomas Frank omitted the Mali international from the squad to face Paris St-Germain in the Uefa Super Cup, citing persistent lateness as the reason for the disciplinary call.
Now Bissouma stands on the brink of a fresh start in the Eredivisie, with Ajax gambling that his experience and edge in midfield can still tilt big games their way.
