Woltemade Praises Spalletti’s Aura as Loan Spell Progresses

Nick Woltemade says he knew within minutes that working under Luciano Spalletti would change his career.

The German striker, on loan at Bianconeri from Newcastle after a summer move, opened up to DAZN about settling into life under the Tuscan coach and the impact of their very first meeting.

“When I met Spalletti for the first time with my family, we all thought one single thing: aura,” Woltemade recalled. “He has a huge aura, he seems calm, but he is very clear in what he wants both on the pitch and off it.”

That first impression has shaped everything since. Woltemade described a manager who wasted no time setting standards and targeting details in his game. The work started immediately, and it was personal.

“He is helping me a lot and immediately began working closely with me to help me improve. I am certain I will become a better player under him,” the forward said.

For a young striker adapting to a new club, a new league and a new tactical framework, that clarity has been crucial. Woltemade feels he has landed in the right place at the right time, convinced that Spalletti’s demands and guidance can push him up a level.

The loan may be temporary. The education he is chasing under Spalletti clearly is not.
