Valencia Pursue Loan Move for Harvey Elliott from Liverpool

Valencia are in talks with Liverpool over a loan move for midfielder Harvey Elliott until the end of the season, as the Spanish club push to strengthen before the transfer window shuts.

The 23-year-old spent last season on loan at Aston Villa but managed just one Premier League start, a frustrating return for a player looking to turn promise into permanence at the top level.

Valencia, who finished ninth in La Liga last season and missed out on European football, have been exploring how to structure a deal that fits their financial limits. The plan on the table is clear: they want Liverpool to pay half of Elliott’s wages to make the move viable.

Under new head coach Andoni Iraola, Elliott featured regularly in Liverpool’s pre-season and looked part of the early plans. Once the real stuff started, though, his situation changed. He has been left out of Liverpool’s first two Premier League matchday squads, a signal that minutes may be hard to come by if he stays at Anfield.
