According to Sky Sports News, discussions continue, but a key hurdle remains: the two clubs have different views on Hamer’s transfer value. The player is entering the last year of his contract with the Blades.

If Coventry can settle on a fee, Hamer is reportedly eager to return and compete in the Premier League again after last playing there during the 2023-24 season.

Meanwhile, West Ham United are keen on signing former Tottenham Hotspur striker Troy Parrott as they aim to strengthen their attack for a swift promotion push.

As reported by the Daily Mail, West Ham shifted focus to Parrott after failing to secure Sunderland’s Wilson Isidor. Parrott has impressed at AZ Alkmaar, scoring 51 goals in 96 appearances over two seasons.

However, West Ham faces competition from Como in Italy, Spain’s Real Betis, and Dutch giants PSV Eindhoven and Ajax. While Como, Betis, and PSV offer Champions League football, West Ham hopes an £18 million bid will secure Parrott’s signature.

Ipswich Town Nears Deal for Florentino Luis From Burnley

Back in the Premier League, Ipswich Town looks set to sign midfielder Florentino Luis from Burnley. Florentino was on loan at Burnley last season before making a permanent switch this summer.

Following Burnley’s relegation to the Championship, Ipswich and Hull showed interest. Hull pursued a loan deal, but Ipswich have taken the lead, reportedly agreeing on a £16 million permanent transfer, per Sky Sports News.

The 26-year-old midfielder has already completed his medical and is expected to join manager Gary O'Neil’s squad soon. He will add strength alongside Azor Matusiwa, Marcelino Nunez, Jack Taylor, and Cameron Humphreys.
