Queens Park Rangers: Encouraging Start and Caution Ahead

Queens Park Rangers’ encouraging start has caught the eye, but one long-time observer is urging a bit of restraint.

Ian McCullough, QPR supporter and journalist, believes the early signs point to genuine progress, especially in the depth of the squad, yet he insists this is no time for wild predictions.

“At Blackburn at the weekend, they won the game through the strength of the bench,” McCullough said, highlighting a key difference from last season. “They've got a real quality on the bench that they didn't have last season. In that kind of side the club has progressed.”

The message, though, comes with a clear warning. QPR’s opening fixtures have been kind.

“But as I keep saying with QPR, they've played three teams really that they should be beating – Blackburn, Portsmouth, Bolton,” he added. “Had they lost any of those games, questions would be asked.”

Early momentum, a stronger bench, and a fanbase daring to believe again. The real test is what happens when the opposition gets tougher.
