Paris Saint-Germain have put forward a €50 million offer to FC Barcelona for the transfer of 26-year-old forward Ferran Torres, according to journalist Fabrizio Romano. Negotiations between the clubs are nearing completion, with verbal agreement between PSG and Torres reportedly close.

The Spanish striker, who scored the only goal in the last World Cup final, is expected to soon join the French side. This move would reunite him with coach Luis Enrique, under whom he played for Spain's national team.

Having moved to Barcelona four years ago from Manchester City, Torres has appeared in over 200 matches across all competitions and scored 65 goals. Last season alone, he featured in 49 games. Despite this, he is said to seek a bigger role within a top-tier squad, which influenced his decision to leave Catalonia.
