Paris FC have set their sights on Juventus forward Jonathan David as they look to rebuild their attack after a turbulent summer up front, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Canada international, 26, arrived in Turin from Lille OSC on a free transfer last year but never truly settled. Under Luciano Spalletti, his opportunities have dwindled, and the Italian coach is now ready to move him on, the report states.

That has opened the door to a possible return to Paris for David, who previously lit up Ligue 1 with Lille. Paris FC, reshaping their forward line, have already sold Willem Geubbels and brought in Lassine Sinayoko, a move that initially looked like their main attacking tweak for the new season.

Then came the shock. Ciro Immobile, expected to go around once more, walked into the dressing room last month and informed his teammates of his imminent retirement. A planned transition suddenly turned into a full-on rebuild.

Liam Rosenior now wants one more weapon in attack, and David has emerged as a prime target for Les Parisiens. His profile fits: proven in France, still in his prime, and desperate for a fresh start after a frustrating spell at Juventus.
