Mo Fuseini Called Up to Ghana National Team for International Window

Mo Fuseini has capped a whirlwind few weeks with a call-up to the Ghana national team for the September/October international window.

The 24-year-old forward, on loan from Union St Gilloise, received official confirmation of his selection over the weekend and now has the chance to add to his two senior caps for the Black Stars.

He heads into camp on the back of a crucial moment in club colours. Fuseini’s dramatic injury-time equaliser against Burnley halted a run of three straight defeats and earned the Rams a deserved point at Turf Moor, just before the three-week international break. It was the kind of intervention that sticks in a manager’s mind.

Ghana's Upcoming Schedule

Ghana face a busy schedule over the window, with three games on the slate. Two come in Africa Cup of Nations qualifying: a clash with the Ivory Coast on Thursday 24th September (8pm BST), followed by a meeting with Gambia on Tuesday 29th September (5pm BST).

Between those competitive fixtures, the Black Stars will also test themselves in a friendly against Morocco on Sunday 4th October.

For Fuseini, it is another chance to turn late-club heroics into a more permanent place on the international stage.
