Millwall Set £15m Price for Femi Azeez as Brighton Pursues Deal
Millwall have slapped a £15m price tag on winger Femi Azeez as Brighton push to get a deal done before the transfer deadline.
The south-coast club, whose interest first emerged via BBC Sport, have already seen two bids rejected in recent weeks, both just over the £10m mark. For now, they remain about £5m short of Millwall’s valuation.
Azeez is understood to be keen on the move to the Amex Stadium and a shot at the Premier League. Millwall, though, are standing firm. The south London side are ready to sanction his next step only if their demands are met in full.
The 23-year-old has been conspicuously absent from Millwall’s last three matchday squads. That omission comes off the back of a standout campaign in which he scored 11 goals and supplied 11 assists in 35 league appearances, form that earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Year.
Millwall picked Azeez up from Reading in 2024 for around £1m, a deal that now looks like one of the Championship’s smartest bits of business. He is into the final 24 months of his contract, a ticking clock that only sharpens the negotiations.
Interest is not limited to the top flight. Championship rivals Wrexham are also believed to be monitoring the situation, but Azeez’s priority is clear: he wants the Premier League.
For Brighton, he is understood to be one of their top attacking targets heading into Tuesday’s deadline. The question now is simple: will they bridge that £5m gap in time, or risk watching one of the Championship’s standout talents slip away?
