Max Eberl's Commitment to Bayern: A New Chapter

Max Eberl’s journey with Bayern has come full circle. Once a youngster in the club’s academy, he now stands as a key architect of its future – and he has nailed his colours firmly to the mast.

Having agreed a contract extension, Eberl made it clear this is more than just a job for him. Bayern, he stressed, has been part of his life since his earliest days in the youth ranks, and that bond is driving his work at the top of the club.

“Bayern has been close to my heart ever since my time in the youth ranks,” Eberl said, underlining the emotional weight behind the new deal.

He spoke of a shared vision with his fellow board members, a determination to stay on the course they have set and to “continue to do everything I can to achieve sporting success” for what he called the “entire Bayern family”.

The message was unmistakable: continuity, stability and ambition at board level, at a time when the demands on Bayern remain relentless.

Eberl also highlighted the importance of the backing he has received from above. The trust placed in him by the supervisory board, he said, is a “valuable vote of confidence” – one he openly welcomed and intends to repay.

Chief executive Jan-Christian Dreesen struck a similar tone. He, too, pointed first to the supervisory board, thanking them for their faith before turning to what comes next. Dreesen spoke of carrying on his work at Bayern “with energy and passion”, and of a collective effort that stretches far beyond the executive offices.

As he put it, the board, staff, members and fans are all part of a single push to ensure Bayern “remains the top club of which we are all so proud”. That pride, Dreesen insisted, is what drives the hierarchy on – and he made one thing clear.

In their eyes, there is still a lot more to achieve.
