Manchester City Sign Gerónimo Rulli for Goalkeeping Reinforcement

Manchester City have moved to reinforce their goalkeeping department with the signing of Argentina international Gerónimo Rulli from Marseille on a two-year contract.

The 34-year-old returns to the Etihad Stadium on a deal running until June 2028, with City paying around £1.7m for the experienced stopper. He will wear the No.28 shirt and effectively steps in as James Trafford’s replacement after the England goalkeeper completed his move to Leeds.

Rulli’s name is not new to City fans. He was on the club’s books during the 2016/17 season, though he never made a first-team appearance before continuing his career elsewhere in Europe. This time he comes back as a seasoned campaigner, not a project.
