Liverpool Negotiating Transfer for Bradley Barcola from PSG
Liverpool are locked in talks with Paris Saint-Germain over a deal for Bradley Barcola, with the winger’s future in Paris hanging in the balance.
The 23-year-old remains a live target for Liverpool, and, according to Fabrizio Romano, negotiations between the clubs are taking place on a daily basis as they work through the details of a potential transfer.
On the player’s side, there is no hesitation. Barcola, who came through at Lyon before joining PSG, is keen on a move to Anfield this summer and personal terms are not expected to be a stumbling block.
His situation grew more curious on Wednesday night. PSG beat Aston Villa 2-1 in the UEFA Super Cup, but Barcola never left the bench, an unused substitute on an evening when the European champions lifted yet another trophy. For a player of his profile and age, that kind of omission rarely goes unnoticed.
After the game, the message from the top of the club did little to cool the speculation. PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi stopped short of closing the door on a sale when speaking to Canal+, admitting: “We will see in the next days. We are discussing, we are negotiating.”
Those words matter. They underline a shift: Barcola is no longer in the “untouchable” category in Paris. PSG are open to talks, open to a solution, as long as Liverpool put the right financial package on the table.
The Premier League side now know exactly where they stand. The player wants the move, the French champions are listening, and the clock on the summer window keeps ticking.
