Liverpool £50m Bid for Sarr After Minteh Pursuit Stalls

Liverpool have turned sharply towards Crystal Palace winger Sarr, tabling a £50 million offer as their chase for Minteh hits a wall, according to the Mirror.

Two separate bids for Minteh were knocked back, both falling well short of Brighton’s firm £70m valuation. With the window closing on Monday and only five days left to maneuver, Liverpool have stopped waiting and started acting.

The club is still reeling from the tragic death of Diogo Jota, while the exits of Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah have stripped the squad of its wide attacking core. The need for a winger is no longer a talking point; it’s a necessity.

Sarr, who arrived at Crystal Palace two years ago, is understood to be very keen on a move to Anfield and the chance to step into that void on Merseyside. At 28, he offers experience, goals and a body of work that has caught attention across Europe and beyond.

Sarr’s numbers from last season back that up. He made 45 appearances in all competitions, scored 21 goals and added two assists, driving Palace to UEFA Europa Conference League glory. On top of that, he carried his form into the international arena, starring at the World Cup this summer with four goals before Senegal went out to Belgium in the round of 32.
