Kylian Mbappé needed only a month to make his point at Real Madrid.

The French forward has been named winner of the "MAHOU Five Star" award as the club’s best player for August, a prize that underlines what his performances have already shouted: he plans to own this season.

He has the numbers to back it up. Mbappé started all three of Real Madrid’s league games in August, scored four goals and drove the team to maximum points, dragging the spotlight firmly onto the Bernabéu side at the very start of the campaign.

Award in hand at the Valdebebas training complex, he spoke with the same certainty he has shown on the pitch, making it clear that this fast start is only a platform.

"We have started the season well, and I hope we continue in this manner on Saturday. I believe there are many successes that can be achieved this season," Mbappé said in comments reported by Spanish media.

On a personal level, the France captain framed his early impact as part of a bigger mission.

"I am eager to help the team and prove our ability to achieve great things this year. I am always happy to play here, I know it is a great honour to wear this shirt," he added.
