Kylian Mbappé is treating the new season like a personal goal exhibition.

That strike was his 71st in the Champions League. It pulls him level with Raúl González, the iconic No. 7 who once defined European nights at the Bernabéu, for fifth on the all-time scoring list.

Real Madrid didn’t wait long to turn control into comfort. Nine minutes after Mbappé’s opener, Federico Valverde punished Martínez for a costly mistake, stealing the ball away from the goalkeeper and stabbing it into the net to double the lead.
