João Cancelo Returns to Barcelona on Permanent Deal

“I gave up part of my salary, but it was either sign for Barça or nothing. It’s a very special club, I’m here to help and I hope to win many titles. We’re building a great team.”

That last line will interest Hansi Flick as much as anyone. The new Barça coach is expected to install Cancelo as his first-choice left-back to start the season, with Alejandro Balde pushing him hard for minutes.
