Holywell Town Earns First Point as Caernarfon Climbs the Table

Holywell Town finally have something on the board. It took a comeback, late nerves and a touch of relief at home to fellow promoted side Trefelin, but their first point of the season is in at last.

It did not come easily.

Trefelin, still hunting a first top-flight win of their own, struck first on the hour. Louis Phillips spotted his moment on the edge of the area and sent a superb lob arcing over the keeper, a finish as calm as it was ruthless. Holywell, staring at another defeat, looked in real trouble.

The response arrived eight minutes from time. Harvey Morris found the breakthrough, dragging the hosts level and briefly lifting the mood around the ground. The equaliser saved the night but not the league position; Holywell stay rooted to the bottom, still searching for that elusive first victory.

Clarke haunts Flint as Caernarfon climb

While Holywell scraped a draw, Caernarfon Town were in no mood for half measures. They brushed aside struggling Flint Town United 3-0, a result that pushed them up to fourth and left their opponents still winless and marooned in 15th.

The story belonged to one man.

Zack Clarke, once of Flint, returned to torment his former club and took his season tally to nine goals in the process. He struck first in first-half stoppage time, a goal that changed the tone of the night just as the interval loomed. Seven minutes after the restart, he did it again, doubling both his haul on the evening and Caernarfon’s control of the contest.

Flint sagged. Caernarfon did not let up.

Osian Evans, in sharp scoring form himself, added a third to seal a commanding win and deepen Flint’s early-season problems. For Caernarfon, the rhythm is building; for Flint, the alarm bells are getting louder.

Airbus fly at Old Road

At Old Road, Airbus made their own statement.

George Peers continued his hot streak, grabbing his third goal in as many games to put the Wingmakers ahead on 20 minutes. He finished from close range after a precise cross from Jordan Evans, a simple touch to end a well-worked move.

The visitors struck again just after half-time. Breaking at speed on the counter, Airbus sliced through and Oliver Calland finished the move to claim his first goal for the club. Two up, cruising, and in control, they never looked back.

Cambrian’s fightback stuns Cardiff Met

Cardiff Met looked home and dry. Then Cambrian United ripped up the script.

The hosts went in front on the stroke of half-time at Cyncoed, Spencer Dymond-Hall rising to head them into the lead. When Sam Jones doubled the advantage early in the second half, it felt like a routine home win was on the way.

Cambrian refused to accept it.

Seven minutes after Jones’ strike, Alex John dragged them back into the contest, trimming the deficit and shifting the momentum. Liam Williams’ side sensed vulnerability and pushed higher, harder.

The pressure told.

Harrison Bright stepped up with a crisp strike from the edge of the area to level the match and complete the comeback. Suddenly it was Cardiff Met hanging on, not Cambrian.

There was still time for late drama. The hosts won a penalty, a chance to snatch all three points, but CJ Craven failed to convert. Cambrian escaped with a hard-earned draw, Cardiff Met were left to rue what slipped away, and the early-season table tightened just a little more.
