Galatasaray Rejects Al-Hilal’s €130m Bid for Victor Osimhen

Al-Hilal have tested Galatasaray’s resolve with a staggering €130m offer for Victor Osimhen – and been sent away with a firm no.

The Saudi Pro League side lodged the verbal bid on Wednesday through intermediaries, pushing hard to lure one of Europe’s most feared forwards to Riyadh. The response from Istanbul was immediate and uncompromising: no negotiations, no discussions, no sale this summer, according to Sky Sports.

Galatasaray’s stance is hardly a surprise given what Osimhen has become for them. Since arriving from Napoli on an initial loan in 2024, the Nigerian has been a relentless force, scoring 59 goals in 74 games for the Turkish Süper Lig champions. His impact was so decisive that the club smashed the Turkish transfer record to make the deal permanent last summer, paying €75m to secure him long term.

Al-Hilal knew all of that and still came back to the table with one of the biggest offers of this window. They have tracked Osimhen for years and were close to signing him before his move to Istanbul. The admiration never faded; it simply went on pause.

Now, with a Pro League title push in 2026/27 already in their sights, they want a marquee No. 9 to lead the line. Last season’s two-point gap to champions Al-Nassr still stings. The plan is clear: raise the ceiling, raise the spending, and bring in a striker who guarantees goals.

The pressure on their recruitment team is growing. The club are expected to sanction the departure of Darwin Nunez in the coming days, a move that will leave a sizeable hole at the top of the pitch. Osimhen has been identified as the ideal statement signing to fill it, the kind of arrival that reshapes a dressing room and a league.

Al-Hilal have already shown they are willing to back that ambition. A £60m deal for Crysencio Summerville from West Ham United is done, adding pace and creativity to an attack that already includes Karim Benzema and Malcolm. On paper, Osimhen would complete a devastating front line.

But Galatasaray are not playing along. With their title defence and European ambitions built around Osimhen’s goals, they have chosen certainty over cash. For now, the Saudi millions are not enough to break that bond.

The message from Istanbul is blunt: if Al-Hilal want a new star striker, they will have to find him somewhere else.
