Ferran Torres Joins PSG After Leaving Barcelona
Ferran Torres’ time at FC Barcelona is over. The Spanish forward is heading to Paris Saint-Germain after the two clubs reached an agreement over his transfer, sealing a move that shifts his career from Camp Nou to the Parc des Princes.
Barcelona confirmed the deal and signed off with a message that underlined how long Torres has been part of their project. The club thanked him for his “dedication throughout the four and a half seasons in which he has defended the Barça shirt” and wished him “the best of luck in this new stage of his professional career.”
From Catalonia’s pressure cooker to the Paris spotlight, Torres now walks into another superclub with towering expectations. PSG want trophies, and they want them every season.
Torres sounded ready for that weight.
“I’m delighted to be beginning a new adventure at such an ambitious club as Paris Saint-Germain,” he said, framing the move as a step into a dressing room built to compete for everything.
He also made a point of naming the power brokers behind the deal. “I’d like to thank President Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, Luis Campos and coach Luis Enrique for giving me the opportunity to join the team, which I hope to help win as many trophies as possible.”
A familiar coach, a demanding club, and a forward with something to prove. Paris has its latest attacking piece. Now comes the real test: can Ferran Torres turn this “new adventure” into silverware?
