Everton Pursue Folarin Balogun as Transfer Deadline Approaches

Everton have dived into the final, frantic hours of the European transfer window with a bold move for Folarin Balogun, as tension rises in Monaco and ripples spread all the way to Mexico.

The Merseyside club have lodged a formal bid for the United States international striker, a move confirmed by transfer specialists Fabrizio Romano and Belgian journalist Sacha Tavolieri. At 25 and with an Arsenal education behind him, Balogun is keen on a return to English football and has given the green light to the project.

He wants back into the Premier League. Everton want a new No 9. The clock is ticking.

He has effectively been on standby: fit, waiting, and clearly earmarked as a saleable asset rather than a key piece of the current project in the Principality.

Once the American leaves, Monaco can officially register Lira and reinforce their midfield. Inside the club, there is confidence they are covered in attack thanks to the emergence of young German forward Paris Brunner, which only strengthens the logic of prioritising Balogun’s sale and fast-tracking Lira’s arrival.

So every call between Monaco and Everton is being felt in Mexico City as well as on Merseyside.
